Really enjoyed tonight's Catherine Tate show. Highlights were Derek
Faye's outrage at the Christmas panto, and nan's outbursts at the old
folk's Christmas lunch, but Catherine maintained a high quality
throughout.

Top notch. Hope a new series is in the pipeline for 2006.

Well, there's no accounting for taste, as they say. I never watch
soaps or reality TV, but clearly lots of people do. I like Catherine
Tate and Little Britain, but clearly lots of people on umtm don't..

You have taste alright, it's just slightly bad. Carry on like this
and one day you'll start appreciating real 'comedy' like Terry and
June.

So who is the grand arbiter of what constitues good taste? What are
his/her qualifications?

5 minutes on the Royal Variety show was enough for me, but a 35-minute
Xmas special or a whole series is too much, especially as none of the
characters do a great deal for me.

Trouble is, if there's no series 3 of Tate, then they'll threaten to
fill the slot with something else, possibly that series of Man Stroke
Woman :(

Taste is subjective. However, there are people in this place who don't like
Green Wing so obviously something is wrong with them

Oh I don`t know. It allows people to make lofty comments in an effort to
feel themselves superior. Or maybe they just like feeling themselves.
