I have a friend who has BT B/B she is very new to the internet and needs to
set up an e-mail addy.
She asked someone from BT to set an addy up for her and he has given her one
with her full christian name and sirname
which she did not want, he was Indian, she said I don't want to use my full
name but he told her he was setting it up and that was what she would get!!!
could somebody who has BT tell me where she has to go on their homepage to
set up an e-mail addy for herself, please. She lives down Southsea way so I
can't get to sort her out.

If it's like my ISP, you can only change the bit before the @.
Can she close the acc and open a new one?

I don't have BT BB but go here:

http://www.btyahoo.com/mailtutorial

click on 'Step by Step guides'
click on 'How to setup sub accounts'

It is only the first part she wants to change before the @.
I know if I wanted to change anything I would go to `My Account` in Tiscali
but I don't know how she does it with BT.
I wish I lived nearer to help her.

With BT you cannot change the primary email address but you can set up a sub
account and use that instead. If you go to the home page and click on My
account youcan do it from there. The page that Charlie had a link for tells
you how to do it.

flash?, I think I blocked that recently but forgot where I did it -

you need a minimum of flash 7 to watch, it might be worth upgrading your
desktop here:

I tried to download from there Charlie and it said I may need to click the
gold bar before it would download, but there was no gold bar to click - I
know what the gold bar thingy is as I sometimes get that appearing so I
think I may have blocked the flash from somewhere else but I can't remember
where!!!!! Thanks alot.

Hi Jackie,

If you didn't get the gold bar it means that the flash plug-in was
downloading, so you just needed to wait for as long as your connection
needs, then a nice silver rotating flash banner will appear telling you
that flash has been successfully installed.
