Apparently our Foreign Office are advising the English soccer fans to sing
their World Cup songs in German since it will be more polite for the
Germans.

Surely they'll need to teach them the words in English first ? All I've ever
seen ( at any sporting event and most countries) is lips moving but not the
way they would with the right words :-)

How can you tell? you don't know the right words either.
Buy the Sun today, they've printed out the words in English and given the
translation into German too. :)

Of course - no one else will tell you the truth.
You aren't suggesting that all the animal cruelty reports they report are
figments of their own imagination, are you?

You can see the way people's mouths move that it's often just a gesture and
yes the same thing happens with *Flower of Scotland*

I'm not going far enough away today to be able to do that without worrying
about the embarrassment :-)

Those animal cruelty reports have been all over the television news too,
but as for the Sun newspaper, I reckon it's just a comic on the whole, I
would never buy it, sawry if that offends you.
