A group exists for discussing the iPhone:

misc.phone.mobile.iphone

Charrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrge !

I would suggest that you subscribe in a way that ignores everything that
has happened up to now. There are currently about a thousand items on the
group discussing what Firmware 2.0 may or may not do once it is launched.
Best to ignore them and start afresh.

I've thought of spamming that group with one post per application name
from the app store. It would be instant mayhem :-)

I can't access it at all.

Virgin Text News Groups doesn't list it. Virgin News Groups lists it, but it
has no content.

I'm using Hogwasher (and Virgin - yes, I know).

Any thoughts?

You're posting through virginmedia.com, so I assume that's the host you
read through. It's a legit group. Collect a couple of posts via Google,
then contact newsmaster@ your news host and ask him or her to carry the
group.

I read through news.virginmedia.com and text.news.virginmedia.com

The latter appears not to carry misc.phone.mobile.iphone

The former appears to carry it, but there are no postings there.

I'll e-mail the newsmaster, as you suggest, and see what happens.
