Image is a composite as the Moon was burned out in the original
exposure.

Nice picture, Pete.
It seems that we take the same kind of pictures, I have a similar one here
[url down]
But, it's a single picture, no composite :(

Yours is very beautiful.

I wasn't sure whether or not to put the "Moon" back into the picture
but was swayed by my wife. When I showed it to her she said it should
be bigger bless her! When I took it out the space looked kind of
empty so I put it back in.

BTW the patch above the walkway to the left of the photo is a Moon Dog

getteth, Pete, getteth. As in getteth a grip manne.

Lovely picture. The boatte looketh like the one they've just dragged
off Camber Sands. I'm a bit sad about that it had an eerie grandeur

Try this one as well - single shot this time. Don't be sad though - I
found my glasses after losing them on a shingle beach in the dark!!!

The atmosphere, in the artistic sense, is no where near as effective as in
the first picture. That bright light in the foreground spoils things.

When I first got down to the beach the main boathouse lights were on.
Niec scene which gave an air of occupation and activity going on while
the Moon went about it's business. I got into position set the camera
up and "click" out went the lights. "Click" on wen the outside light
- great a security light while looking out to sea!

I agree that the atmosphere is better in the first image although I do
like the smearing of the sea and clouds (giving a smoothing effect) in
the second. Neither is quite what I was after though as I was cloud
dodging and busy losing my glasses for a goodly chunk of the time :(

Yes indeed. The boathouse looks quite fake like a model.
