bad netiquette to follow up my own posts, but what they hey.

After a dramatic turn around, I'm now taking the 28th Nov as an extra
days holiday, and am booked on the MY Juliet with Oonasdivers as per
Eddies note earlier in the thread.

Currently it's me plus 5 Swiss folk (boat takes a max of 14 divers) -
Swiss folks, if you're on here, say Hi!

Well done that man!

Say hello to dive guide Wael Ali from me if he is there and join in his
search for the ever elusive Hammerhead ;-)) Wish I could be there with you
but Xmas visits to grandchildren have priority.

Visit Yasser Gouda's (Juliett's owner) facebook page at:
http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref...gid=7874652023 where
you may see some vids I took during my trip.

And while you are there can you look for my dsmb and reel which I left in my
dive box under the seats on the port side dive platform :-)).

You are heading for a good trip.

You'll enjoy Juliet. Just make sure you are well up on the rules of
"Uno" as the guide Wael spends every waking moment wanting people to
play it with him.
Give Wael our best when you get on board.

That sounds a better idea, liveaboard over day boats every time. I am
off at the crack of sparrow fart tomorrow for a week on Hurricane.

I stayed at Ocean Club in Feb 2007. Not the most sophisticated place
you'll ever stay but, you know what? The beds were clean and
comfortable, the shower worked and the door locked. Breakfasts there
were just fine and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Don't
know what else you need from your accomodation if you're there for
the diving.

Ocean College was just next door and proved themselves to be a
releiable, efficient and safe dive setup.

It's not beach side but it's just opposite the go karting place and
only 15 minute walk away from old Sharm with the best 1.5 egyptian
pound falafel sandwiches you'll ever find

I stayed there 3 times in 2006/2007 and things were going steadily
downhill. OK if you're not fussy but I've since switched to the Hilton
Waterfalls and wouldn't go back to Ocean Club unless it really picks
up or I'm severely cash-strapped.

Yes, I'd recommend them, they do seem to know what they're doing and
their staff stay with them for *years* which is a good sign.

Cheers,

John
