<sigh> They've got vanilla fudge in the Pic'n'mix. <deep sigh>
Sometimes I regret the animalitarian impulse that turned me vegan. I
used to spend my pocket money on vanilla fudge - you could get quite a
lot for a shilling and I used to cut the cubes into smaller pieces to
make it last longer. It could possibly explain how I got to be what I
am today... fat :-(

Silly blankie! It is not the vanilla that is the problem - even if the
Wondrous Woollies could be thought to use real vanilla pods. It is the
fudge that I can't eat.

It probably won't taste as nice these days.
Especially if you buy it through the interweb - one byte and you'd taste
the difference.

I don't know about Polo mints. I don't think they contain any vanilla.
Has anybody read the label?

You may be right and I couldn't possibly do the test. What I do know is
that those so-called sweets sold as "vegan fudge" in some branches of
Holland & Barrett are not an adequate substitute (and they cost too much).

Our old Woolies is being taken over by a heart charity (I think - I went
by in a hurry to get to a hairdressing appointment) offering to do
house-clearing. They are going to sell furniture and white-goods
(presumably second-hand, resulting from the house-clearances).
