Every time I try to download a program from iPlayer it wants to
download the iplayer desktop, even though it's already installed. I
tried deleting it and reinstalling but I get the same problem.

Anyone else had this issue?

I'm running Snow Leopard with all the updates on a macbook.

Wonderful. Thanks. I had been using iplayer grabber and loved it but
it seemed to stop working for a lot of programs.

Yes, every once in a while.

If I run into that problem, I just fire up a different Web browser and
use that to trigger the download.

(OmniWeb, Opera, Firefox, Camino, iCab, and Safari - got 'em all)
