I passed one of life's big milestones yesterday (pass the hem^H^H^H pile
cream please) and spent a wonderful weekend down in Margaret River. This
morning, on my first official full day as a 40 year old I was listening to
the radio on the way to work when I caught myself shouting at the radio
presenter, telling him he was talking bollocks then swapping to my iPod
full of ISIHAC episodes. I chuckled when I realised I had almost instantly
played to the stereotype, then I realised I'd been shouting at the radio
for at least 20 years already. So I've either always been middle aged or
I've still not grown up. I think I'll settle for the best of both worlds
(though I don't think regaining my 20 year old fitness level is an option).

No, I think you'll find that the world's expectations of you have

Neither names spring to mind. The only people I know down that way are a
family friend and her partner (who is the CEO of the Margaret River Wine
Association - very handy to know!)
